a little over a month ago i was at the mall and decided to browse the perfume counter. it has been many moons since i actually purchased a bottle. mostly because of the expense and i don’t really use it that often. and because it seems to take forever before it’s gone. and i’d probably never use it all before i got tired of it.
so after smelling around i decided to buy lotion instead. it seemed like a good compromise. or so i thought.
last week jeff and i went on a date. the first one in quite a while. of course, i felt like sprucing up a little. so i pulled out the lotion and slathered a little on.
as we were driving down the street. jeff starts sniffing.
“do you smell that?” he says. “something smells like bug repellant.”
(and it shall probably be many more moons before i again frequent the perfume counter.) 😉

Cherie, your’re a riot! I stopped wearing perfume when pregnant with my first. I think I have forgotten about adding that extra something since then. When I was teaching jr. high I put some geranium oil on my lip to heal a fever blister. My students walked in the room and said, “IT SMELLS LIKE PINE SOL IN HERE!” That is the last time I wore that too! 😉
