This is Tyler and Jill and their three handsome boys. I can't tell you how much I love this family! It seems like our lives have gone in similar directions ever since we both got married. Actually it's more like we've been following in their footsteps because they are such incredible examples to us.

Right now they are in a special place in their lives. They are hoping to adopt another child and are on the road in that process. I've come to realize that adoption can be facilitated through word of mouth. So I'm spreading the word here…if you'd like to learn more about Tyler and Jill, check out their blog. If you've looked around my blog at all, you will recognize this family. She is the one that kick-started me into the business and I love her for it! When I took these photos, I didn't know that she had a new little bean in her tummy!!
I can't wait to welcome another sweet boy to their family this year!

Next up is another great family with two stinkin' adorable little boys. I get to see these two cuties every Sunday and without fail they both give me a smile that well, just makes me want to find them again the next Sunday so I can see it again. Here…see for yourself!

The end of 2010 was full of families.

It was, no doubt, busy around these parts. But it was a good busy as I attempted to give families a little glimpse of themselves together. This week I'll be focusing on the family as I post a family a day.  

First up is my beautiful sister and her family. Growing up we used to hit and kick each other…a lot. Mostly over clothes. Oh, teenage years! I'm glad we've gotten over that by now. 🙂 Love you, Janene!

This love is something special.

I met Kelsea and Mitchell a few days before he was headed off to Navy boot camp. They are engaged to be married in the spring. But in the meantime, she writes him letters, plans a wedding, and waits for his return. I loved watching them exchange glances and hearing about their love story. Most of all, I loved watching Kelsea stand by her man.  

Congratulations, you two! Here's hoping these next few months fly by!

I'm definitely a sucker for all things bright and happy. If it has a little splash of yellow in it, sign me up!

I loved putting some images together from the past few years that do just that….make me happy.

So happy to welcome this little baby Jake into the world! Mama had no easy go at getting him here, so I'm sure she is thrilled that he is now softly snuggled up in her arms. Just watching her look at him made that evident to me. It is amazing to feel the love that exists when a fresh new baby is in the room. It's an undeniable feeling of joy and peace.

I'm guessing it is this feeling of joy and peace that elicits the "baby hunger" pangs to come creeping in. I'll admit, sweet Jake might have brought a little of that my way. But seeing as how I'm now in starvation mode, a little appetizer now and then is as good as I'm going to get.

Thanks to you both for letting me share an afternoon with you. It doesn't get much sweeter than that.

I love taking photos of families but it's even better when a 3-year-old is along for the ride. I don't know what it is but they really do melt my heart. And this little guy didn't disappoint. Of course I love his family too! I had a chance to take their pictures last year and they came back for another round. Bonus. 🙂

I met this family for the first time a couple of weeks ago. It's always exciting for me when I arrive at a session and I have never seen a family before and this is our first meeting. Melissa knows a wonderful friend and mission companion of mine that referred her my way. A friend of a friend is practically a friend right?!

When I first saw this sweet family from down the street, I knew it was going to be good. And it was! (I was dying over that cute curly hair. wow.)

So now we are officially friends. 🙂
