new baby love.
it's hard to explain in words.
but you know it when you see it. or better yet, feel it. it's a feeling only a baby can bring to a family.
so glad i could spend some time with a long-time friend and her family. congratulations shauna. love you!
what a day for a wedding.
the sky was the perfect shade of blue, dotted with fluffy clouds. a gentle breeze was blowing. as we walked down the stairs towards our seats, it seemed for a moment that i was in a story book romance. exquisite.
jeff's friend and co-worker was married last week. the details were amazing. such a treat to be part of it. and it makes for a great date night! maybe we should take up wedding crashing. 😉
last month i had the opportunity to photograph a wedding reception right before valentine's day. it was really quite fun because i've had a thing for wedding blogs like style me pretty and photographers like jasmine star for quite a while now. i don't really know why though. but sometimes, just sometimes, i wish i could do it all over again and have all that really pretty dreamy wedding stuff. and then i come back to earth and realize i had the best wedding ever. a spanish fiesta? absolutely perfect!
just for fun here's a little peek at the valentines.
and as luck would have it, we have been invited to another really pretty dreamy wedding this weekend. i'm so excited. you can bet my camera is coming along for the ride!
say hello to a beautiful family of five that flew all the way from texas to have me take their photos. oh wait. just kidding. so it's true they are from texas. but all the way here just for me…not quite. but it sounds good right? 😉
i wouldn't mind though if they came my way again because they were so much fun to be around. i had barely met them and i already felt like i had three new little buddies. maybe it's that texan part of them. people from texas = instant friends. 🙂
these two had such a sweet brother/sister relationship.
little sis was more into exploring than sitting down. i loved that!
this one was the best. they decided to jump on me while i was sitting on the ground…i fell over backwards and kept snapping while they laughed and giggled on my stomach!
hope it's not too long before i see y'all again!
it's been a little while since i shared some family photos. thought i'd share a few of some wonderful friends of ours.
we had quite the adventure before we even met up. i arrived at the location to find the streets shut down for an art fair. not fun. but they were troopers and followed me around for a bit until we could make some things work. always an adventure!
so glad we did make it work because first thing i thought when i was editing these photos was those eyes.
those are some amazing eyes.
love them.
thanks again!
i want to blow these up HUGE and put them on my ceiling so i can see them first thing when i wake up. 🙂
i've got a boatload of pictures to edit from the weekend. i always love my first glance at the images once i download them to my computer. truth be told, i'm usually all nervous hoping that i will have captured something good. and then i look through them quickly and get excited. usually one or two will make me giddy that i caught a moment or a look or a relationship.
this shot did just that. this is my fabulous sister-in-law. she has graced my blog many times! she is the epitome of style and she is known in our house as the aunt with jewelry. 🙂 this photo is so them to me. gorgeous amy and cool garrett. just them. and i love it!
more family photos. are you ready? 🙂
this was a fun one! these sweet little boys were done with me after about 5 minutes, but i kept following them around until they were really done with me. after i broke out my pirate voice, i think they thought i was nuts. but any chance to play pirates is fine by me. just ask dallin…he rolls his eyes any time i go all arghh, matey on him!
gorgeous family. love little blondies. just love.
after we finished, we headed over to the site of the new Gilbert Temple. Jill's family donated the property that it will be built on. It was an incredible privilege for me to meet her grandfather and document this beautiful moment in time for their family.
this exchange made me so emotional. priceless.
they brought along this sign for a few shots. they were worried that it would look a little cheesy. i thought it wrapped it up perfectly.
thank you so much for a wonderful opportunity! loved it. love you!
