i'm totally serious when i tell you that i say a little prayer each day that goes something like this…
please oh please watch over my little boy so he doesn't end up in the emergency room with a cracked skull, gashed flesh, broken bones, or anything of the like.
why, you might ask? he's a climber, a scaler, a houdini of the death defying sort. i've never had one quite like this. i'm convinced the kid has sticky feet.
as of yet, we have not had any major catastrophes. but believe me, my heart has dropped to my piggy toes on more than ten occasions.
his favorite right now is dubbing himself king of the kitchen table by making his way from a chair to the table top and then deciding to take a flying leap off the edge. luckily, my super-human motherly reflexes have managed to save him from an untimely face plant or two.
so for now, don't plan on any lovely sit down meals around our place.
because all functioning chairs are currently taking a break.

Oh my goodness that is funny. And Not funny all at the same time. I guess funny, because I have considered ways to keep Nathan off of furniture too. He’s not quite big enough to scale the kitchen table yet, but if he has a step stool (which we have several around the house), he can get up on most anything. I’ve hidden the step-stools.
I feel for you!
I feel for you. we have one of those too. sounds like you have a great solution.
Cherie, you are a crack up! That is a great idea. When he was here the other day I had to keep pulling him off the stairs because he just wanted to leap off! I would take him down and divert his attention and he was having none of that! He would try to bust around my legs and bee-line it to the stairs 🙂 He is sure cute while he is doing it. Love the Halloween!
Connor was exactly like that! He sure kept me on my toes!
Oh My that is funny! I understand completely. Britain is my wild child and Kalixta does anything she does!
Your dinning room is cute, cute! Love the Halloween!
Even though all your chairs are down, your dining room looks fabulous and fallish…so you. I love it! Here’s to your super-human motherly reflexes!! Good luck!
