i have to admit that it has been many moons since i actually wrote down goals until my recent post of "someday dreams." when i started that post, i was just having a little fun thinking of the future not really intending to complete them anytime soon.
but something really cool happened as a result. and i thought i'd share it.
now, i am a firm believer in actually writing down goals so that you can #1: get them out of your brain and into print and #2: see them often and visualize yourself accomplishing them. once again i'm convinced that writing them down can have a tremendous effect on the probability that you will actually achieve them. here's why…
since that post i have:
-worked on re-financing our loan
-found a new lens for my camera and planned a shoot
-registered to run the st. george marathon again
-decided to be a Let's Play Music teacher next year
the crazy thing about it all is that i haven't even been specifically focusing on that list but yesterday i realized i've been making progress toward it. almost subconsciously i guess!!! how cool is that?
so, go WRITE DOWN some goals today!!! i totally believe it unlocks some secret power inside of you.
maybe i should write a book or something and call it The Secret. oh wait, somebody already did that! 😉
happy monday!

That is wonderful!!! I agree- writing down your goals make your thoughts cross over from an idea to a ‘goal’- something you are actually going to accomplish. With all that done, being able to hear out of your hurt ear would be icing on the cake.
so awesome! what lens did you get?
awesome. I love that idea. I need some more goals. Yeah St. George marathon. That’s where I am. We have room if you need a place to stay, not that you would want to stay at a strangers house with her crazy clan, but you are welcome. 🙂 I just ran my first 5k, I wonder about ever running the marathon. I think it would be fun. Good luck.
I feel the same way! Ever since we talked about writing down our goals, I finally sat down and did it. I wrote things that I knew I wouldn’t have time for now since being a mom, but I am suprised how it is always on my mind. I see opportunites to reach some of my goals I would have never noticed before writing them down.
woo-HOOOO! sounds like good things are goin’ on there at 907
