nesting: part one

so we’ve been living in this house for four months now and i still haven’t done much to make it a “home.” it’s been driving me crazy to have dead wall space but for one reason or another i just haven’t gotten around to it.
nothing like having a baby to light a little fire under your tail. hah! so last night i stayed up way too late and finally made holes in walls. lots o’ them.
ella’s room was my first mostly finished project. when we moved in, the room was already yellow and i LOVED it! just perfect for all the little stuff i’ve been collecting for my girly girl! now i just need to get some updated pictures of her. it’s amazing to look at her baby pictures and still see those vibrant eyes staring back at me. how’d she get so lucky? thanks, granny!!

i used some scrapbook supplies to make these flowers and then framed them. i love how they turned out considering i’m paper and scissor challenged. 😉

  1. where did you get that chair? I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! Oh, and I also love that sweet little lady sitting in it! Good luck on the home stretch, dear friend. Love you!

  2. Wow, Cherie! I really love your sweet little girls room. It’s like a picture right out of Pottery Barn kids or something…very cute. I seriously wish you and I lived closer together so you could do something with the LOADS of dead wall space in my house. I can’t wait to see what else you have done…but I’m thinking that might come much later…with little spike about to make his debut! Good luck!
