The kind of beauty that stops a room. The kind of beauty that make other men glance up at you, to then find me glancing at them with a, "Dude. Don't even think about it" look. You are seriously gorgeous.(Quit rolling your eyes, babe.)
20. You find a house you like and I see you designing it in your mind before we even move in.

14. You continue to choose to be a mom. Especially after the days when all you hear is screaming. All you see are messes. All you feel is sadness. All you smell is poop. All you connect with is a hand to a bottom for severe disobedience, then you feel even more sad. All your efforts to feel the Spirit are in vain.
13. You choose to hear the laughter. You choose to see the cute eyes. You choose to feel the joy. You choose to smell the flowers. You choose to connect with your lovey. You choose to strive to feel the Spirit.

another confirmation of why i never go to the store.
seems like everyone around here is always complaining, "you need to go the store, mom!" or "when's the last time you went shopping, cherie?"
eclectic happiness
so i've been on an eclectic/vintage/funky kick lately. i'm not sure why. i guess i'm just trying to break out of my current style. it's actually pretty fun. i'm normally a very straight-lined, symmetrical kind of girl. usually nothing to crazy going on. not any more! 🙂
somebody is turning 30 today
more pine
pine part 1
last week, my sister-in-law invited all the fam up to a cabin in pine, arizona. it was just the ticket to beat the already encroaching summer heat. not only that, it was fun to let the kids run, be free, be messy, be loud, be adventurous, and be happy.
some more gorgeous girls
whoah, how did it get to be june already? sorry i've been away from the blog for a few weeks. first, i want to say thanks so much for all your nice words and encouragement about the photos. you all know how to make a girl feel good! so thanks again!
gorgeous girls
this past weekend, i had my first official photo shoot!
it all came about in a unique way. our ward was having a YM/YW fundraising service auction. we've had these before and usually jeff signs up to make balloon animals and i call that good. now that i am in young women, i was trying to think of something i could donate this year. as the list arrived at me, i hadn't come up with anything yet. as i was sitting there, i thought, "i guess i could take pictures." and then i quickly scribbled photo shoot on the paper. as i handed it off, my heart thumped. what did i just do? yikes! i've never really taken pictures other than just for fun. well, there was no turning back now!
lucky for me, i had the wonderful privilege of taking pictures of a mother and her two daughters. i will be totally honest that i was shaking in my boots as i arrived at the location. but once we got going, it was fabulous.
they were simply gorgeous and beautiful and darling and sweet and fun! thank you so much for allowing me to capture your relationship!
and here are just a few of my favorites…
just a side note…i really haven't started my own business. i just put the watermark on them to look more professional!! hee. hee. i think it does the trick! 🙂
friday funnies
so we're driving home last week and we decide to stop and refuel in blythe, california. we pull into the service station and i glance over at the sign to see that we'll have the privilege of paying an arm, a leg, and possibly a spleen in order to return home. after the shock of the gas price, my eyes glanced up at the name of the gas station, "surely, that can't be serious!" i thought. i re-read it again and after a hearty chuckle, i decided i must take a picture.
perhaps they felt like giving their customers a little comic relief since the price of gas nearly delivers a heart attack! 😉
