ella has finally decided that the trampoline is, in fact, her friend. up until now she has believed that it is a monster whose only purpose is to inflict fear and trepidation. nice trampoline. yes, good boy. 🙂

as are all my sisters-in-law. we had a super fun little photo shoot while we were together for the holidays. amy and i have been dying to find a cool place to just take pictures. alas, the kids just don’t quite catch our vision! 😉
but we finally got a chance. i had seen this old abandoned house on the side of the road so we went there and totally scored. ah, it was heaven! and we were giddy fools. and victorious!
is it a new year already?
sheesh…where have i been? hmmm…well it’s been a wild and crazy place around here lately. then again, when is it not? 😉 but the holidays have come and gone and it’s been good. really good. only one regret this year. i didn’t get a christmas card sent out. whhhaaaat? the sky must be falling. or it’s a sign of the times. and yes it’s time to pull out the food storage! i mean i practically live my year just to create a christmas card, right? (insert giggle here). awh, i am a little sad. but it just never happened this year. just didn’t happen.
but a lot of good things did. and so…here is my makeshift card that will have to do.

10. we got to see leaves falling, fireworks in the tree tops, mice wearing sweaters, and pirates in the caribbean.
9. we’ve got a piano player. dallin is a champ on the ivories.
8. cherie becomes an excellent chef.
7. ella is the queen of saying “delishioth and nutrishioth”
6. dallin gives mom a great present…he becomes a real swimmer on her birthday.
5. we sell our house in a day. bendiciones.
4. cherie gets some cool opportunities to design stuff.
3. jeff accepts a job working with his bros. at infusion software.
2. we move to lone and dreary arizona (ok, i’m over the lone and dreary part now)
1. we welcomed adorable, sweet yet sleepless baby lincoln to our family!

i chuckled.

granny and grandpa arrived in town last night. we are giddy. i’d say we’ve got a little christmas right now!
amy and i took the kids to tumbleweed park last week. now, when i heard the name “tumbleweed park,” i was semi-unimpressed. it’s kinda up there with the likes of dress barn. you know, couldn’t they have picked a better name? but i was totally blown away with this place. it is the latest park du jour. and of course, we were there snapping pictures like crazy fools.
and finally after one too many shots, dallin finally resorted to an, “oh, get that thing out of my face!” mentality.
hah! but this camera happy mom got enough to suffice my cravings for one day.

i have the canon digital rebel xti. i really love it!
and i work mostly with adobe photoshop and illustrator.
loving the mac, although it is not compatible with everything and that can be frustrating sometimes. but it is so user friendly and fun to use!!

A Year of Style 2008 Calendar at twopeasinabucket.com.
it’s a digital calendar kit that you print out and prop up in a cd jewel case. this has been by far my favorite project as of late. and with the fun little packaging from my sister-in-law, Rhonna…i just love how it turned out! 🙂
