friends in high places

i read a quote this morning from marianne williamson that really moved me.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness that frightens us. We ask ourselves "who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?" Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn’t serve the world. There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

good stuff, you know. truth is beautiful. and this got me thinking. thinking about the people around me who let their light shine and how they have unknowingly liberated me. and helped me to let go of the insecurites and rise above.
love these dear friends. love them. more than they know.
as time and distance from each other begins to increase, we’ll always be close. always be a family. they make me laugh. they make me cry. they make me feel safe. safe to be me. and safe to let my light shine.
so come what may… wherever you go… i love you all.

man, i love this…

zerbet_2

i love when these two play together.

came downstairs this morning and saw zerbets and giggles a plenty.

i hope they will someday be close buddies just like jeff and amy.

a brother that loves and protects his sister and a sister that adores and teaches her brother "the ropes" about girls.

i love that amy is partly responsible for making jeff the sensitive and understanding man that he is.

so, amy if you read this…thank you. thank you for making my man a good one.

easter and family.

now that’s a lovely combination! we welcomed our first family visitors to our home today. justin and michele and the gang were in anaheim this week and made a trip to our house for easter dinner.
i cooked.
*snicker. snicker*
but i think everyone had an enjoyable time. we LOVED having them here! only wish they could have stayed a little longer. but we’ll take what we can get. if the surfing doesn’t bring them back, magic mountain surely will!
i could barely get mykelle and ella to sit next to each other for more than two seconds, so the picture frenzy didn’t happen today. but don’t dallin and cade totally look like brothers? cute. cute. (and yes, that’s a moving box in the background.)

back in action!

this is all i have to say…

living life without high-speed internet once you’ve experienced it is comparable to living a life of celibacy after enjoying a wonderful marriage.

luckily, my lifeline has been re-connected AND i am happily married. whew!

details of our new pad coming soon.

yo, baby! 🙂

this is a scene from before bedtime. dallin loves to drag ella around by her pajamas. he likes it. she likes it. so why bother?
