so who would have ever thought i’d be so sad that you were gone.
we came to know each other so well. you were always there when i needed you especially during those stinky times. you let me dump on you even step on you, yet you never complained.
oh how i miss you. you trash can you.
amidst our less than stellar move to AZ, we ended up having to leave quite a few things behind because the movers did not bring a large enough truck. sadly, by the time the truck was full there was no room in the inn for the trash can. so it stayed behind with everything else until they could bring it out with another move. i waited somewhat patiently for my trash can. finding many other alternatives knowing it would soon come.
but………..when the movers finally came (a month later), my trash can didn’t. i don’t know where it ended up. maybe in someone else’s home. maybe in some lonely storage unit somewhere. maybe out there along the side of the highway just waiting for me. waiting. with sadness that no one will ever fill it up with stinky stuff again. then again maybe it is happy. maybe it is cheering along with the rest of the lost and abandoned trash cans of the world. “we won’t take it anymore! you can take your garbage and shove it!”

Ha! I love it! You’re little trash can is the one that we personally adore as well. Our local Wal-Mart is selling them dirt cheap right now…maybe you should check out yours. If you dare!?! Sorry to hear your disappointment upon learning that it was not coming, as I’m sure you were waiting eagerly by door for its arrival!
