when all else fails…

first, thank you. thanks for all your thoughts that lifted me. i truly appreciated it!

well, after my “crazy pregnant lady” post on tuesday i got in the shower and started thinking. thinking about ways to get out of my funk, be spontaneous and just enjoy the world around me. it began with thoughts of taking the kids on a day adventure, but where? no idea where to go around here. and then the wheels were spinning. why not a little road trip? quick. fun. close. disneyland? done! (gotta take advantage of our passes before they expire, no?!)

i presented jeff with the idea. he sensed my mind was already made up, so being the amazing husband that he is, he told me to go for it! and with that, we were gone in a few hours.

i have to say, it was just what the doctor ordered. the drive was great. the weather was amazing. the adventure was exhilarating. and i was as giddy as dallin and ella. we even headed up to valencia and oxnard to spend some time with family and friends. ahhhh…nice.

while at d-land, dallin kept saying to me, “mom, this is the place where dreams come true!” i had to smile. while it certainly isn’t the cure to life’s problems, it was a perfect dose of happiness for all of us.
