i can’t help but think that this amazing family descended from two incredible people…and although i never met jeff’s granny and grandpa, i have learned enough about them to love them and cherish the love story they left behind. to quote jeff’s mom about their relationship, she said, “I’ve learned that I’m the recipient of the greatest gift a father can give his daughter; he loved my mother. He really loved my mother.”

i get choked up every time i hear that because when i look at these pictures, i can feel it. and i know that this entire family has been so blessed for that very reason.

and i hope that jeff and i leave behind that same legacy for our own children.

  1. Thank you, Cherie. You brught a tear to my eye. They really were an unusual couple with an amazing relationship. I hope we can all continue the legacy. It would be the greatest tribute we could give them.
