meet the newest addition to our family.
this is space boy. or motor man. or geo. or the cutest helmet head on the planet.
the wee man's head will be under construction for the next little while. 23 hours a day. oh joy! got to get rid of some brachycephaly (flat head) going on. he doesn't seem to mind it though. in fact, it makes a pretty good crash helmet as he's starting to scoot everywhere.
the only drawback? more doctor appointments. we've been enjoying them so much with Lincoln, i decided to add a few hundred more to my life. chances are if you are trying to find me, i'll be in a waiting room somewhere. waiting.
he really is cute though. isn't he? 🙂

I’m glad your doctor is being proactive. My son (almost 7 now) had a severe flat head from the lady that kept him when he was an infant while I worked. My son’s pediatrician said it will get better (which it did) but for a new mom at the time I was scared he’d be permanently changed (thankfully he’s not).

Oh my goodness! He is so cute! You’d think that a space boy helmet would detract from his cuteness, but I think it only enhances it.
I know how you feel about doctors offices. I think I spent more time in the doctors last year than I did anywhere else.
I’ll pray that your doctors never run behind and that you don’t have to “wait” long. Love you guys!

i was just showing kade your adorable kids…his comment, “we haven’t seen them FOREVER!!” true, true. oh how we miss you guys! your kids are seriously toooo cute! the helmet couldn’t have found a cuter head to call home for a bit, he is so delicious! i hope all is going well with lincoln. i didn’t know it had progressed into more. you are in our thoughts and prayers…what amazing people you are! we love you.

He’s adorable! We thought we would have to do the same with James, but then some how it started to round back out. Ben still wants one on him though, because he heard it will not only round out the head but give him great balance and increase agility. Bens always looking for a way to give James an edge in sports. He’s even considered tying James’s right hand behind his back to strengthen his left, but I put a stop to that thought right away.
Oh, he looks so cute!! It wouldn’t matter what he had on his head, he is still adorable!!
Hey Cherie, I’m Melissa Miles besty over in Texas. I had a question for you if you don’t mind sharing your talent. How do you get you images so neutral toned? What do you do for white balance? Or are you doing something else to make them look like that?

thanks so much, steph! i usually shoot on automatic white balance unless it is really bright sunshine. i’m a big fan of commercial photography which is normally less saturated and cooler toned (not always though). so when i edit in photoshop, i usually adjust brightness and contrast but i don’t saturate with a lot of warm color. hope that makes sense! let me know if i can help with anything!
