how i've missed this little guy's noggin! it's finally back…new and improved. this week he graduated from his DOC band. hot diggity! the whole process went so well, and he didn't seem to mind it much at all. it's funny watching him discover his head again. he is constantly reaching up with his little fingers and grabbing at it. and he is also much more aware that the floor is a hard and cruel place.
best part is being able to snuggle him close again and everyone is glad he no longer smells like a sweaty sock. 🙂

OMGosh!! What a difference!! Glad it went so well!! that top picture has to be the cutest picture in the WORLD!!!! or he is the cutest baby in the world. Hmmmm-m-m-m wonder which it is.

I printed off the top pic and took it to my office yesterday, — showing it off to everybody. You should have heard the comments! “AY! Que precioso” “Que divino” “parece igual al presidente, pero tiene tus ojos” Everyone felt bad that I couldn’t run home and squeeze him to bits! Me too!! (sigh)
I agree with grandma dreamy…”Que precioso!!” (eventhough you know I don’t speak a lick of Espanol, but it sounds just so much more expressive). I can’t believe the change!!! Way to be persistent. He is darling.

wow, those are great before and after shots! it’s truly amazing what that lil helmet did. he is such a little angel. is it bad for me to miss the helmet just a tad? he made it look so cute. 😉

I just found your blog from a friend of mine who follows you. I wanted to let you know my daughter had the same doc band when she was about a year and a half. She is now four and her head is beautiful. She had the same diagnosis as your son. It will make a huge difference in everything he does, and his growth.
